Invoice book, 1801-1808.

Consists of invoices for merchandise imported and exported by Clark to ports around the world. Entries list the name of the ship, its captain, its destination, a consignor, and the merchandise being transported. Clark owned many of the ships mentioned. A wide range of products is represented, including nankeen, telescopes, silver watches, wine, earthenware, tea, hide, copper, cotton hose, and printed textiles. Patterns for pottery and types of tea are given. Products were usually shipped in large quantities. Included is a long invoice from the Herculaneum Pottery of Liverpool, England.
